Built on independent assurance

Our timber frame systems are certified by leading bodies, providing clear evidence of compliance, durability and performance:

  • The Buildoffsite Property Assurance Scheme (BOPAS) provides long-term confidence in durability and integrity. It validates our processes for design, manufacture, and on-site installation, guaranteeing a 60-year design life for our closed panel timber frame systems.

For developers, lenders, and housing providers, BOPAS+ accreditation removes risk and confirms that our systems are fit for modern housebuilding.

  • The British Board of Agrément (BBA) verifies that our systems meet the highest standards of technical compliance, durability, and fire safety. A BBA Agrément Certificate is a mark of excellence — independent proof that every product performs exactly as designed.

  • We’re also proud holders of the Structural Timber Association’s STA Assure Gold standard — the highest level of industry quality assurance. Together, these certifications demonstrate total reliability from factory to foundation.

  • All of our timber frame systems are NHBC Accepts approved, meaning they’re fully compatible with NHBC Buildmark warranties.

Warranties you can trust

Our closed-panel and open-panel systems are designed and manufactured under rigorous quality management systems, including ISO 9001. This ensures that every panel leaving our factory meets defined standards for accuracy, durability and performance.

As a result, homes built using Donaldson Timber Systems qualify for warranty cover through recognised providers, including NHBC, LABC Warranty and Premier Guarantee, subject to project review and specification.

We work directly with warranty providers during design and approval to ensure full compliance, smooth certification and a streamlined process for our customers.

Durability, tested and proven

Our build systems are designed for strength, stability and long-term reliability.

Each component undergoes extensive testing for structural performance, airtightness, fire resistance and acoustic performance.

Under BOPAS+ certification, our Sigma II closed-panel system is validated for a minimum 60-year design life under normal conditions, giving assurance that homes built with our systems will stand the test of time.
